Strengthening professional collaboration throughout the year congress

In a world where health and sport are increasingly approaching each other, the need for professional collaboration between different professions is more important than ever. At the Norwegian Institute of Sports and Health, we understand the importance of this integration, which was evident during our annual congress held in Oslo last year.

The congress, which has now become a cornerstone of our annual calendar, brought together professionals from both the fitness and health industries. The goal was clear: to build bridges between therapists and trainers to promote a more integrated approach to physical well-being and athletic performance. With two days filled with lectures by world-class speakers, participants were equipped with knowledge that transcends the traditional boundaries of their respective fields.

Among the speakers was Chris Beardsley from England, a renowned figure in the field of strength and conditioning training. Beardsley, founder of Strength and Conditioning Research, shared insights from the latest research in exercise and muscle physiology. His sessions offered not only valuable learning, but also a rare opportunity to see theories presented in a context that is directly applicable to practice.

From the healthcare world, we had the pleasure of hearing from Jarod Hall, a physical therapist known for his work in pain expertise. Hall travels the world to teach about pain and exercise, and his contributions to the congress helped deepen our understanding of how we, as healthcare professionals, can better integrate modern pain science into our treatment models.

These two days were not only an opportunity to learn, but also to discuss and share experiences with colleagues from different disciplines. The discussions that arose offered new perspectives and ideas, and many participants reported useful insights that they could take back to their own practices.

At the Norwegian Institute of Sports and Health, we are proud to be able to facilitate this type of knowledge sharing and networking. We strongly believe that our annual congress not only strengthens professional skills, but also contributes to shaping the future of the training and health professions.

We are already looking forward to next year’s congress and to continuing our work to build professional bridges that can strengthen both individual practice and the broader healthcare community. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make last year’s congress such a significant event.
